With trading a max capacity, we are busy and need to maintain a consistency in our daily kitchen operation.
Qualifications & experience
* Excellent communication skills are required
* Japanese cuisine experience essential (minimum 1 year)
Requirements:
* Knowledge of food safety procedures.
* Sound knowledge of Japanese cuisine.
* Excellent Communication skills.
* Enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
* The right attitude to push through even the busiest of days

* Are an even tempered manager that maintains composure in the kitchen
* Experience in hot food and maki is highly desirable
* Have great overall operational knowledge
* Come with great communications skills both verbal and non-verbal
* Full knowledge of all kitchen operations, ordering, stock-take, ect

Working Hours
* flexible and negotiable
* Monday: 10:00-14:30
* Tuesday to Friday: 9:30 or 10:00-2:30, 17:00-21:00
* Saturday: 6-9pm
* Sunday: Closed
* Public Holiday: Closed

Duties
* Prepare and cook dishes on the restaurant’s menu and in accordance with the head chef’s instructions
* Plate, portion, arrange, season and garnish food
* Examine food to ensure quality, freshness and presentation
* Regulate temperature of fridge, freezer and other cooking equipment, including storing food in temperature-controlled facilities
* Substitute for or assist other kitchen staff during peak hours
* Ensure minimization of food wastage
* Clean, stock and restock work stations and storage areas
* Maintain prescribed sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas at all times

Restaurant Opening Hours:
* Lunch: 11:30-14:30
* Dinner: 17:00-21:00

We take pride in servicing real food to our locals. All our staff have been working with us over 1 year and really appreciate it. We hope this vacancy is filled with the right candidate, so we are able to continue our happy kitchen.

It is a small shop having only 10 tables and we are all 5 or 6 people working at the same time which means its busy during peak time. But we work together helping each other so we are looking for somebody supportive.
