Hello, this is Baek Jong-won’s BORNGA.
We are preparing to open in the 4th week of November at <153 Elizabeth St, Brisbane> .
We are part of a well-known restaurant group from Korea, with over 80 restaurants worldwide, including three in Australia—one in Melbourne and two in Sydney, which are operating successfully. We welcome applicants from diverse cultural backgrounds, and anyone who can communicate in basic English is encouraged to apply.
1. Positions Available
- Stove Cook : Preference for experienced candidates (minimum 1 year), regardless of the type of cuisine or country.
- Meat Sub Section : Culinary experience is not required, but hospitality industry experience is preferred. This section requires quick hands.
- Prep Section : Culinary experience is not required, but preference will be given to those who can perform basic knife skills. We prefer meticulous individuals who can follow recipes accurately.
- Kitchen Hand : Preference for candidates with dishwasher experience. We are looking for someone who can work effectively according to the kitchen workflow.
2. Wage & Shift
<Baek Jong-won’s BORNGA> complies with the
legal wage standards set by the Australian government, including Annual Leave,
Superannuation, Weekend Pay, and Public Holiday Pay.
3. Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 15:00 – 21:30
- Friday to Saturday: 10:30 – 22:30
- Sunday: 10:30 – 21:30
- Working hours may vary depending on circumstances, such as extended or reduced business hours and additional break times.
· After stabilization, we plan to open for lunch on weekdays as well.

2. Can you tell me about your previous experience in the kitchen? If you do not have any kitchen experience, please describe your knife skills with examples.
3. Which part would you like to work in: Stove Section , Meat Section, Prep Section or kitchen hand(Dish Washer)? Please explain why you would like to work in that part
4. Why are you interested in working with our team? Do you know about <Bornga> and <Baek Jong-won>? If so, how did you learn about them?
5. What do you expect working here will contribute to your life?
6. Are you familiar with food safety regulations in Australia? If so, please provide an example. What are the three most important aspects of food safety regulations in a commercial kitchen?
7. In a kitchen with multinational team members, can you maintain a considerate attitude even in a busy environment?
8. Are you able to work during the times we require? Please specify the days and times you are available to work.
