Kitchen Hand (Casual)

We are Figjam & Co, South East Queensland’s emerging Indigenous Catering Group. Established in 1995, Figjam began as a Café serving the people of Brisbane, Logan, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich and surrounds, recently, the company has began operating in Stones Corner as a catering company servicing functions for corporate events, school lunches, Film Crews and all social events in between.

Monday - Friday shift On-going

The role involves

• Execution of food preparation and presentation

• Maintain a clean kitchen, equipment and utensils

• Stock rotation & labelling

• Maintaining legislated food hygiene and safety practices

• Fast, effective service provided with a smile

• Punctuality & reliability are essential

• Pride in personal appearance and hygiene

• Assisting the broader team as required

• Clearing and disposal of waste created, including Cardboard Boxes, General Waste and Food Waste

• Checking of Schedules and maintaining a record of activities completed in line with Food Safety Program (FSP)

• Moping and Sweeping of entire Kitchen when required

Should have the following skill set.

• Possess a positive working attitude and not afraid to get their hands dirty.

• Reliable, fit and energetic.

• Team player

• Fast learner 

• Own reliable transport an advantage

• Sound repetitive hygiene practices

• Manual Drivers License (not essential but useful)
