About us
Fast growing business, with a focus on producing high quality artisan products in a support and diverse environment. Please provide at least 2 work references and photos of some products you have produced.
Qualifications & experience
Prior Experience as head baker - managing a bakery for a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
Experience producing a full range of artisan products including - long fermentation European-style sourdough (hand-shaped), croissants & pastries, donuts, and cakes etc.
Ability to manage a young multicultural team, identifying strengths of team members and delegating tasks accordingly
Be able to work with ownership and take direct instruction
Ability to develop new recipes and products
Strong leadership, management, communication and organisational skills.
Tasks & responsibilities
Hands on leadership - you will work alongside the team and manage the day to day operations of an Artisan bakery. Producing consistent products of the highest quality, adhering to modern trends of presentation.
Managing and motiving a team of bakers and pastry chefs, ensuring all members perform to a high level - 10 to 15 team members using 3-3.5 tonnes of flour per week, through retail and wholesale.
Control costs through managing wastage, scheduling, and stock
Coordinate staff training and equipment maintenance
Ensure the kitchen adheres to health and safety regulations by managing our cleaning schedule and procedures.
