Sushi Chef / Roll Maker - Brisbane Airport (SSP Australia)
About the Role
SSP Australia is seeking a Chef with Sushi / Roll making experience to support the kitchen operations of Yo Sushi outlet based at Brisbane Airport.
You will be supported by a great leadership team and work collaboratively with a professional Head Chef and highly experienced National culinary team. As an ideal candidate, you will be an experienced and professional team player with a can-do attitude and a commitment towards achieving outstanding results. Opportunity to go full-time for the ideal candidate.
What are we looking for?
Availability for full-time hours across Monday - Sunday roster
At least 2 years’ experience in Sushi/Roll preparation in working in a fast-paced environment
Have demonstrated experience in Sushi preparation, and an ability to skillfully prepare a wide variety of sushi dishes including nigiri, sashimi, maki and specialty rolls
Food Safety Handler Certificate (Required)
Proven ability to work independently and run a kitchen on your own
Knowledge in OHS Compliance and strong understanding of food safety and practices
Experienced in stocktaking and ordering supplies for your station
A high standard of food preparation, presentation and service
Passion for food and an eagerness to learn and develop culinary skills
Excellent time management skill, strong communication skill and collaborate work mentality
A lively personality and positive attitude
